Zedd tried to drain the Rangers powers with Green Candle like candles. But this did 't make sense. Since the Green Candle was originally touched by Tommy and his powers were controlled by Rita for a long time. It seems prettt convient that Zedd could produce these new candles.

I agree but Zedd's magic was much stronger than Rita and he did use what little remained of Tommy's Green Ranger powers so it's entirely possible he could have used it to reproduce the wax that was needed and actually didn't need the Rangers' actual human touch to actually physically touch it in order for it to work.

Zedd probably had more tricks up his sleeve than Rita. Look at his plan with the Green Crystal. Which had the ability to steal the Ranger's powers too.

Its just another wierd plothole. Doesn't bother me, it was a good Jason episode. Its too bad Austin left the series soon after.
