It made no sense to me why Scott was the leader in RPM. He didn't seem very qualified for the job or anymore advanced than the others. Dillion ended up being more of a leader in a lot of ways.

generally Red Rangers are the leaders regardless of whether they're the most qualified for it.

MMPR = if you were going to pick anyone it probably would've been Jason and because of behind-the-scenes reasons they had promoted Tommy as the new leader while Jason the character was already there even though when they got to ADRing that episode they already knew that Austin was gone for good and wouldn't be back.

Aquitians = we didn't know about them but because of footage reasons it made more sense to have Delphine lead since she was the leader there as well.

Zeo = made more sense to carry on with Tommy leading.
Turbo = made more sense to carry on with Tommy leading and after he left while technically it would've made more sense to have Justin lead the team since he would've had more experience as a Ranger the fact is that T.J. did show leadership qualities by acting on his own and being able to draw Cassie into his assistance.

Space = Andros didn't show leadership qualities and I don't believe he was ever called a leader in fact he trusted his friends to make the calls such as when he trusted T.J. with his plan to trick the Psycho Rangers by painting themselves blue in an effort to confuse them.

Galaxy = I don't believe Leo was ever called a leader but he generally took the lead unless something was going on in which he had to rely on others such as for example when Maya was hearing the cries of the captured GalactaBeasts so in that case she took the lead.

Lightspeed = Dana technically would've been the most qualified but for whatever reason the Captain didn't want his daughter to lead the team instead he wanted Carter to lead the team believing that he would be the most qualified to lead the team.

Time Force = Jen was the most qualified to lead the team
Wild Force = the team's leadership was based on their zords and not their leadership quality which is why Cole was the leader.

Ninja Storm = dunno why they went with Red as the leader here.
Dino Thunder = dunno why they went with Red as the leader here.
S.P.D = this was due to a command structure so Red was their leader regardless of whether he was the most qualified for it or not
Mystic Force = dunno why Red was chosen as the leader for this team although Nick was the one who had stepped up and take charge to help the old man when no one else was willing to.
Overdrive = dunno here
Jungle Fury = no clue here since Casey wasn't the most qualified.
RPM = no clue here but it's probably a case of who was the most qualified and really none of them would've been the most qualified but Scott probably would've been the closest.
Samurai = probably due to tradition
Megaforce = dunno
Dino Charge = no clue

Red is almost always the leader. Even if its unofficial.

Even though Jen was clearly the leader in time force.

I think Summer would have made the best leader.

No way she was a big snob! Just like "Ranger Yellow" showed.

She was a big snob. By the time of RPM she has become an independent young woman. The whoke point of the episode was supposed o show that growth.

I think she potentially could've been a great leader if she was given the chance.

No way she was a big snob! Just like "Ranger Yellow" showed.

Yes she was a big snob or even a big spoiled brat if you will but the keyword there is "was." Yes she WAS a snob but she matured because of Andrews' death and because she was forced to take care of herself on her own.

He seemed like the most responsible Ranger. Sumner wouldn't have beeb a bad choice though.
