They need to be careful not to put too much in the sequel. Introducing Tommy and Zedd one one move might not be a good idea.

Having Zedd as a Thanos like figure that makes cameos to build to when he is the final antagonist is a good idea. Of course if there aren't additional sequels you are buolding to nothing.

I think it is way too early to introduce the thunderzords. They didn't even intro Dragonzord yet.

Tommy needs to be the main villain. Maybe he believes Zordon is an Alien Invader and tries to get rid of him. Which puts him in conflict with the Rangers. Rita returns with more power. Forcing the Six Rangers to work together to defeat her. And at this point To my realizes Zordon is not an invader but still doesn't fully join the team. Zedd is teased for the next movie.

Rita awakens on the Moon. Once Tommy finds the Green Coin she is able to control him. Tommy almost destroy the Rangers. They are able to defeat him and free him from Rita's power. But the Green Powers are too dangerous to use so he turns the. over to Zordon. Rita remains a threat by sending down monsters for the Ranger s to fight.

[Overdrive Omega]

I'd have Lord Zedd arrive and revive Rita. Tommy becomes the Green Ranger to help the Rangers against the new threat.

[KimandTommy]

The current Kimberly turns out not to be the true Kimberly and is replaced by a new one closer to the original. The movie is a love story between the good Kimberly and Tommy.

[Space Seasons]

Just do a Space Movie. Which would clean up at the box office.

[Lightspeed Rescue]

I think its best to start clean with Lightspeed Rescue.
