2008 Kamen Rider Rumors

The name rumored is "Kamen Rider Lizard". First rider of a reptile motif since Amazon. Villains are the "Demon Beast Ashura" (this was the rumored name of the Den-O villains, originally). The Rider has a Komodo Dragon motif. Mannerisms are like Kabuto.

Name- Kamen Rider IX

Might be pronounced "ix" or "aiches"

Info:
"9 Warriors (Riders) that have been banished, escape. Pirates that fly through the skies, who are neither allies or enemies to each other. One searches for their mother, the other is a true man, another is Hard-Boiled."

Please take with a grain of salt.
I'd like this to be true just so that there's no main Rider for once, everyone can have the same amount of attention.

Haruka can mean "distant" or "far off."

An actor?

It is rumored that Tokuyama Hidenori, Kabuto's own Zabee/KickHopper, will return to Kamen Rider for the 2008 series. It is not known what role he will play, whether it is a hero, a villain or part of the supporting cast.

Yet another shift for the main storyline:

Note, Kamen Rider Haruka may have been a codename/placeholder name, as use for PLEX to openly converse about their projects. The info would have come from a hacker, or haruka was a made up rumor.

On to the new rumor:

Title- Kamen Rider Brat (Temporary)

Info:

A Kamen Rider who has the powers of an Avatar uses a touchpen to transform into either a monster of air, land or sea, which are a vampire/bat, a werewolf, and a hangyojin (think creature of the black lagoon, a gill-man.)

Arms in the Werewolf Form is a Sword.

The Vampire Form uses the rider kick. The bat wings attach to the foot, to deliver an aerial kick.

The monsters themselves are entities (like the Imagin) who are able to be around the avatar/rider when they are not in use. The Hangyojin form will come in later, while the first 2 forms will appear within the first 2 months of the show's episodes.

The Rider Belt in the series will have to do with the inital transformation, but it is the touch pen that will switch the Rider's modes.

Title- Kamen Rider Dai

Monster Motif

Has three forms, representing sky, earth and water. For sky, a Vampire form. For earth, a Werewolf form, and for Water a "Gillman" form (think black lagoon, etc.)

Vampire Form has a kick finisher, involving bat wings being attached to the rider's leg.

Werewolf Form has a sword.

The rider switches between forms using a touch pen.

A belt is involved, but only in initial transformation.

The enemies are known as "Avatar."

One step closer to confirmation?

-"Monsters are summoned, and with a baton weapon, he uses his finishing moves. The touchpen the rider transforms with may become his weapon as well, a baton. The Keyword here is "Avatar"

-"The rider will have a brace with 5 attachments next year, which will make the brace activate finishing moves and weapons. 3 forms will take 3 of the attachments. The other 2 are unknown in what they do."

-"Names for this rider are Kamen Rider Brat/Blood or Kamen Rider DAI."


The series will probably keep the kid-friendliness of Den-O, but I think it will be darker, possibly more in the style of Ryuki. (Lots of humor/slapstick in that, but it was balanced with darker themes.)

Title- Masked Rider Brad (Blood)

Riders:

Masked Rider Blood- Vampire motif, coloring is red and black, main rider of the series

Masked Rider Wolf- Wolf motif

Masked Rider Bolt- Frankenstein's Monster motif

And something completely unrelated to the numerous "monster movie" tidbits:

This looks to be pulled from a toy catalogue, cause the description matches that of somebody seeing pics, but it's not confirmed yet. Here's the 3 riders described:

Kamen Rider Halbur:

A "black box" is situated somewhere into the rider's design. Arms are swords. Has a red cape, sort of like Vega Form's. The face has clear-parts embedded in its compounded eyes. (Clear-Parts means semi-see through) Has shoulders similar in design to Agito, and red lines that decorate the body, like Faiz's photon blood. A red "solar eclipse" like design is prominent on his chest. Has a "pocket" type belt.

Kamen Rider Autumn:

Also has a "black box" worked into his design. His appearence is not unlike the abaranger in abare mode (spikes jut out all over his body), and his color is blue. His face resembles a mix of Den-O and Zabee. His compound eyes are split in the middle by a crescent. The shoulders and his waist also make use of the spike design. The Japanese Symbol for "3 months" is marked on his chest. Arms are "tekou".

Masked Rider ? (Name not shown):

Only seen in sillouhette. Seems to resemble either Zolda or a Masked Form from Kabuto.


Anyway, an interesting rumor to add to pile. And who knows, it could be the right one. Take with a grain of salt, as always. If anyone could help me figure out first, if this rumor can be thrown away (like if it's based on another show or something.), second what "black box" could mean, and third, what a tekou is (the rumored weapon for the second rider.)

Alleged blog postings dukemon found regarding the new Kamen Rider series:

"The actor cast in the hero role for Kamen Rider is 21 years old. The actor has a good bunch of experience in drama. There is a mix of like/dislike about him from viewers, because he is no pretty boy, and his looks are strange, but not off putting. This is more personal observation, however.

The Design Motif is of a "living thing." (meaning the rider is not tech-based.)
The title and name of the rider is three characters in katakana.

The rider has a 3 step transformation, but in reality, it is more of a 2.5 step transformation. His arms resembles Kamen Rider X's, or Iron King's weapons."

In this poster's opinion, the rider is "something original."

"Also, a recurring character on the show will be played by a celebrity, but one that is not an actor."


Another post on the same info:

"The same info is heard from a source who knows about the toyline. The rider will exchange belt buckles to shift between his different forms. The "2.5" step in the transformation is achieved to use his finisher."
