1. Why do Usagi and Mamoru go by Neo-Queen Serenity and Endymion? For all intents and purposes Serenity and Endymion are dead. Usagi and Mamoru are their reincarnations. Even if they somehow despite being born peasants went to rule shouldn't it be Queen Usagi and King Mamoru?

2. Maybe its because the English dub didn't explain it well and I only saw the corresponding Japanese episode once about 5 years ago but the earth fell into a deep sleep because of an ...ice age? How does that work? Did an ice age that occurred sometime after Usagi turned like 21 kill most of the earth's population and then the silver crystal put the survivors into a deep sleep until it ended a thousand years later?

3. How did Serenity and Endymion come to the throne? Did the world's leaders just decided to appoint them for using the silver crystal to purify the earth. Nobody had a problem with this? Were they just figure heads, with Japan's government still intact?

1. Yes Queen Serenity and King Endymion are dead but that's actually their royal names. Queen Serenity's civilian name was likely Usagi as well but this was never confirmed... this is why in the case of our Usagi, they differentiate it in the future by calling her Neo-Queen Serenity.

Their old selves reawakened. Their current lives are still very much a part of them. They are just older and wiser. Neo Queen Serenity passed the Usagi name down to Small Lady anyway.

The earth fell into some type of dormancy for thousands of years in the anime. Aparently, Usagi awakened in the 30th century and becane Neo Queen Serenity. She wok everyone else up amd creatrd Crystal Tokyo. The dormancy was caused by some natural disaster.

In the manga the kindgom is built several years after the final arch. There is no deep sleep. Due to the Silver Crystal the citizens of Crystal Tokyo live forever and maintain their young age. Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymon stopped aging at a certain point. Chibi Usa is actually 900 years old and doesnt seem too have the ability to grow until her Sailor powers are activated.

Both the anime and manga dont go into how they come into power. In the anime I would assume that there was chaos after the deep sleep with all government abolished. The Queen was able to restore order with the Siver Crystal. Building a utopian society. Because their was no disaster in the manga, I can only assume that Usagi and Mamoru progressed into Neo Queen Sereinity and Endymon. With the Silver Crystal the queen waa able to attrack followers to build a utopia. I can imagine most of the people would love to live forever. Well excepr for the rebels who would end up becoming the Black Moon Family.
