The broadcasting contract between Saban Brands and Nickelodeon has been extended until 2022 meaning it's extended through 2021.

Was their ever any any real doubt?

I really didn't until the casting information for the next pr season leaked and there was no infor on a Nick extension . But it makes sense for them to stick with Nick.

Yes, Saban wants continuity and always wanted back with Nick. I think Nick sees value in doing business with PR as well.

not doubt but more like hope

This is concerning. As they missed a good opportunity to deal directly with Toei and replace American Sentai with Japanese Sentai for good.

not that garbage again.

1. Toei doesn't work well directly they work better in a co-production where someone else more familiar with the U.S. side of things is better equipped to handle that kind of stuff.

2. airing Japanese Sentai on TV in any fashion will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER happen so you can let that dream die you're not getting it.

I don't see Super Sentai on Nick either. Power Rangers and Nick will be partners for a long time.

TV shows usually like to stay on their own network. PR only really moved after it was sold anyway.

This is good news since it means PR won't be cancelled anytime soon.

I don't think the network is going to effect the quality.

I was hoping they would move back to Fox.

Nick should have demanded they give them more Ninja Storm instead.

I agree Nick would have been better off working with Toei directly. But Toei would have to buy Power Rangers from Saban.

They will end up on Nick longer then tney have been on Disney. Its a shame Nick won't give us longer seasons.

I am very disapointed since I was starting to think they could move over to DisneyXD. Or perhaps even be sold back to Disney. I feel Saban may have made a big mistake.

Disney has no interest in the show so they're never getting it they were embarrassed by even having it in their possession.

Disney is too cheap to buy the show back. And Saban is too cheap to sell it for a reasonable price.

Disney wants a bunch of things if they're going to buy something they're not just going to buy a show especially when it was a show that they hated to have.

If Saban Brands was sold i would consider Viacom the favorite since they own Nick and seem like they want to keep it on their network. Perhaps Fox could even buy it after the 20th Century Fox Sale to Disney is closed. Nothing to do with Fox Kids Nostalgia...Just based on the factthat they will have a ton of money and a thirst for content. Of course there is no obvious place for Fox to air Power Rangers, but they could figure something out. I'm just speculating though. Its highly possible a completely new suitor we least expect could emerge if the brand is ever put up for sale again.

Disney buying back PR seems like the most unlikely senario. Unless its part or a bigger package. But Saban Brands isn't really that big of a company right now. Power Rangers is its cheif asset. It doesn't have a desirable cable network like Fox Family. Which is why Disney bought Saban Entertainment in the first place.

Its funny because the deal looked bad for quite awhile on Disney's side. But they were eventually able to find a direction for ABC Family and turn it into Freeform. So really they found success with the channel long after the fact.

Saban Brands should remain in control of Power Rangers for five to ten years at least.

Disney will probably buy Ninja Storm back someday.

I wonder if this will hurt Saban Brand's relationship with Toei

I was hoping Saban would find a better network. But even I have to admit Nick makes the most business sense. I just wish we could get more episodes per year and no Summer Break.

Well now we know Hasbro is the favorite.
