What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

What would it have looked like or how would you like it to look?

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

We would have had the Space Rangers go on an Adventure after Countdown.

I think we would have got an MMPR Movie with the old cast. Or as much as they could get back.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

I wonder if another movie would have motivated them to try to keep the old Turbo cast? Even if they couldn't entice JDF to stay.

I am sure they could have got Austin to come back full time as Turbo Red and Space Red.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

The Turbo Movie probably should have been a sequel to the first MMPR Movie and in that continuity.

I am still disappointed we didn't get a Zeo Movie instead of Turbo.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

That would have rocked! Just have the Zeo Rangers get Turbo Zords. Just like the MMPR Rangers changed zords.

I am sorry we never got the Time Force Movie that was rumored

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

Its a hard what if. The Turbo Movie under performed and the show was starting to change themes every season. Not to mention the massive cast change that led to yearly cast changes. In another world where Turbo Movie is successful enough for a sequel...Perhaps we get a proper Space Movie. They did end the season together and with their powers intact.

The movie would have been successful if it was another MMPR Movie.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

Not necessarily, the first MMPR Movie didn't even do all that well. In a lot of ways its amazing they pulled off Turbo.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

Yeah, I doubt another MMPR Movie would have done better. Besides they were trying to sell new toys, just like the series does every year.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

I could see them reuniting the first Turbo Cast for a new adventure. Perhaps they would use the Zeo Powers or something else?

Divatox's Revenge lol

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

It would have been about Kimberly finally exposing that Kat was a villain. She would have got the Pink Powers back. After the Rangers defeated Katherine and locked her in Rita's dumpster, Kim and Tommy would get married to close the film. In the fourth film they would have a child.

The idea of a cinematic Countdown To Destruction sounds enticing.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

They probably would have used the third movie to introduce Galaxy. Lord Leo would probably ruin the film though. Especially if it was done with the same writers as LG. Since they loved to have Leo hog the spotlight at the expense of the others.

Hopefully, JDF would have still moved on. We didn't need another movie with Tommy Oliver.

Tommy was the franchise back then dude. If they did another movie at that point, they would need Tommy to have any chance.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

Well on the tv side the funny rt is that the series became more popular once the original Turbos left. Zeo was a flop, which is why a movie for that season wouldn't have even been considered. As it i Tzachor didn't want to acknowledge all the lose plot threads from the finale.

No way MMPR was the best!

I meant the popularity was falling from Season 3 through Turbo' first half. The rebooted Turbo started an upward trend in ratings that culminated in the best ratings they series ever had in LG's first half.

Re: What if the Turbo Movie had a sequel

It would be interesting to see what form that movie would have taken. Its hard to know for sure without knowing any potential ideas they had for another sequel. Some movies are made with more movies in mind. But the MMPR and Turbo Movies had standalone storylines and PR tends to fly by the seat of their pants ( espeially back in those days). I would also think we would have heard some behind the scenes plans if they were any.

Knowing PR, a third movie would have used Space or Galaxy...Since they would have wanted to promote the current season's toyline. But its also possible the idea of a new movie would have effected production on those seasons. Does the knowledge of having a movie produce make them follow Megaranger and Gingman more? Of course the idea of Space Themes on a movie budget could also be attractive. And actually encourage them to do their own thing more.

It would have been interesting to see how those casts would have looked and came off in a movie. I could see them bringing back some of the old cast in cameos or in a Jason and Kimberly like role. Just to help the movie's appeal. How well the movie would have done? Well I would say the odds would have been against it. But you never know. And this is a hypothetical situation where Turbo did well enough for a sequel.

At least Tommy wouldn't have been in it.
