that's suspicious and I wonder if it's even the same Ricky Medina that we know because of Power Rangers because they say that one is 36 but our Ricky... all sources say he's 37.

This is just a horrible story! One person has lost his life and another may never be the same..It sounds like it wasn't pre mediated.

People in the fandom are quick to call this self defense. But the problem is that self defense is when you kill someone when you have reason to believe they might end your life. The guy busted in his room. But we don't know if there is enough there for Medina to use self defense. There isn't enough information out there yet to know for sure. But I feel for everyone effected by this tragady.

What a horrible story. I feel so bad for everyone involved. I only hope Medina turns put to have acted in self defense. But it will still be a sad story regardless.

Wow , I am checking the board out at half time of the super bowl and didnt expect to see this. I don't know what to think. I'm gonna let this play out so I get all the facts. But I really feel bad about this tragady.

regardless of the facts and even though this is bad and sad news indeed it is ironic that Ricky murdered (whether it was intentional or not) someone with a Sword.

The media will have a field day with this one since now they can factually claim that a Power Ranger did in fact murder someone.

Which is silly since playing a Power Ranger or Power Villain has nothing to do with him allegedly committing murder. Nor does it have anything to do with the franchise.

I agree its dumb. But its too early to worry about that. Someone is dead and Medina may or may not go to jail. Just a bad situation all around.

No doubt. Just commenting why I think the hoopla would be stupid. My heart continues to go to the victim's family and Medina ( if he he good reason to defend himself)

The media loves to blow silly aspects out of porportion. So it wouldn't shock me if they run with the PR actor part of the story. I think real story are the tragic events here. Nothing to do with the Power Rangers Franchise.

I agree. I don't know what the laws are in California in cases of defending yourself when someone breaks into your home if you feel your life is threatened... if that is what happened.

Exactly. Look at some of the media sources already... at least a good bunch of them aren't doing fact checking (much like the Skylar Deleon thing) and are claiming that he was one of the "original" Rangers when he wasn't even close to one of the original Power Rangers.

When I first read about this, I was surprised and bummed out. Then I saw that a sword was used, and now I don't know what to think..

Update: According to the folks at Rangercrew, Ricardo has been released from Jail. Wether or not this goes to trial is still up in the air.

Wow, that could change every thing. If it turns out they dont charge hin with murder than he could end up being justified for doing what he did. But we will have to see.

Yeah, they usually don't let suspected murders just go free if they have a good case against them.
