Was master mao testing casey in the end of jungle fury or did he really believe jarrod was beyond saving?

I think mao already decided Jarrod was beyond hope.

yes I do believe Mao did believe that Jarrod was beyond hope but I do think part of it was a test since he knew why Casey had failed his test since he was trying to copy what 1 of the others did

But Mao just tried to convince Jarrod to leave his path of evil. I think he knew Jarrod could be reached.

It makes me wonder of jarrod wiy let Dai Shi possess him not knowing the full consequences and then had a change of heart.

even if Jarrod was wanting to be possessed by an evil entity bent on human eradication I don't think it would've made a difference since Dai Shi would've been a strong entity so I doubt anyone would've been able to fight off his possession

The whole plot was pretty dumb. Nick would have saved Jarrod earlier

Mao already tried to reason with jarrod and he didn't listen. I think mao thought dai shi was in full control and jarrod was gone. He also felt it was too dangerous for casey to try on his own. He may have also felt casey was over compensating for failing his master's test
