Did the 4 MMPR replacements ever use their weapons?
 

Can anyone remember/point to an episode where Rocky, Aisha, Adam (excluding once a ranger) or Cat used their signature weapons or even the blade blasters?

I know the weapons were deemed too violent/expensive to film plus the props could easily have broken. The only instance I can recall of the blasters being used during season 3 was to open a zord hatch.

You mean Kat, not Kim. Rocky, Adam and Aisha did use the Power Blaster at least once before the Power Cannon rendered it obsolete. They also definitely used the Blade Blasters, as you say, they were used once in season 3, to remove rust from the zords. Kat never used the Power Bow.

Derp. Yeah, I thought Cat but typed Kim. This is why I shouldn't start threads at 1am.

Season 2 is such a blur for me. I should try rewatching it again soon. Figures that they'd only use the weapons to form the blaster.

That, and all of them used their weapons in Rangers Back in Time, part 2. Not counting the axe, that was the last usasge of any of them, so Kat is still the only MMPR replacement who never got to use her Power Weapon.

Plus, they also TRIED to summon their Power Weapons in "The Wedding", but whatever it was about that old church that blocked their powers prevented them from doing so. (Rocky actually held out his arm and called for his "Power Sword", but it didn't appear.)

A thing I mentioned to some friends was that I thought it was funny that Adam used that Power Axe much more in "Once a Ranger" than he did in his tenure as Black Ranger.

Too bad Kat never used the Power Bow. The weapons were rarely used outside of Zyuranger/Zyu2 footage period!

I always felt like the power weapons were tied to the Dino Powers. You never saw the weapons used when they received the ninja coins. They did use the blasters. My headcanon is their power was lost along with the dino coins powers. So all the MMPR rangers had access to them except Katherine. Adam did use the power axe in Operation Overdrive again using the Dino coin, not the ninja coin.

Luckily Saba was saved due to him being part of the White Ranger's suit template, although he wasn't safe for long.

Sort of. The White Ranger suit had a Saba prop, but that doesn't mean it was the "real", sentient sword.

But now thanks to PowerRangersMegaForce/PowerRangersSuperMegaForce all the ranger powers that were destroyed are now all fully restored, so as example Tommy now has access to his Green power, his White Powers, Red Powers, and Black Powers!

I think he meant "use" as in "attack with", not "use" as in "appear on screen".

He clearly only became inaccessible, rather then being destroyed though. When Tommy's power coins were repaired (having been damaged supposedly beyond use in Green No More and Ninja Quest), he gained the ability to summon Saba while unmorphed (which we saw in Legendary Battle) - something his Dairanger counterpart always could do. Since the Megaforce Rangers can also use their weapons unmorphed, it likely has to do with the creation of the Ranger Keys, and that this aspect of the Megaforce powers was carried over to the those of the previous teams.

Given how empty and hollow everything else was that season, I'd say it's a soulless clone of the original.

let's see I know Kat never ended up using the bow (in fact the last time we saw it in action was in "Rangers Back in Time Part 2" when Kimberly had fired an arrow in front of Oysterizer which caused an explosion) but as for the others let's take a look at an archived version of Joe Rovang's Writer's Guide by seeing if anything is in 228 or later.

Billy didn't have a replacement but just for the sake of mentioning it he used it in "Goldar's Vice-Versa" to break the rope that had Adam and Aisha tied up to a tree and he also used it in "Rangers Back in Time Part 2" which assisted him with destroying Dramole.

Adam had struck Invenusable Flytrap in Rangers Back in Time Part 2 with his Axe and while he wasn't seen using it he did have it out against Turkeyjerk in Storybook Rangers Part 2.

I don't see any notes that tells us that Aisha ended up using her Power Daggers so I guess she never did and the same thing with Rocky and his Power Sword.

It's probably because they were relying less on the Zyuranger footage and more on American produced fights. The Power Weapons had no presence in season 3. Of course that made sense since they had new powers.

he was always there in White Ranger's holster and he spoke once in the ep when most of the Rangers got turned into footballs but I only recall Tommy using him a few times the most notable of which is when he fought Lord Zedd and Saba broke his Staff

I didn't like how they phased out the weapons. But I am glad Kat didn't use the power bow. Only Kimberly should use that weapon.

I am susprised they didn't use weapons inspired by the movie weapons in seasom 3.

I'm curious if Kakuranger had a blaster or finisher for the monsters, or why they didn't just make American footage with the old Power Blaster or Power Cannon.

they were phasing out weapons at the time since soccer Moms were complaining.

no they didn't have a Blaster or Cannon they just had the Swords and Blasters that the Aquitians had granted they also had gauntlets that you briefly saw Aurico using due to bad editing against Slotski and Blue Globbor ended up using some of the individual weapons against the Rangers like the Crossbow he used was Ninja Black's individual weapon. Their second finisher was a football attack so it would've been seen as too goofy of an attack at the time.

too true you just can't beat a combo weapon.

I think they still had their weapons in canon. Up until Zeo anyway.

I noticed the missing the weapons in season 3. I figured the original Power Weapons were lost with the Dino Powers.

we'll never know the last time they tried to summon them was in the old theater which was during the Wedding so it's hard to know since we don't even know if they had access to the Power Cannon but they had access to what was part of their suit template so Tommy had access to Saba and the other 5 had access to their Blade Blasters.

Its funny how Ninjor specialized in Ninja but was the one who who created the dino cions. And he gives the Rangers Ninja Coins instead of recreating their old powers that he himself once created.
