What if Will really betrayed the team?

It would have been cool if Will really did betray the OO team in that one episode. It would have made for an interesting rest of the season. They fooled me until the end of that episode.

It would have made OO more interesting. But I don't know how they would have made it work with the Sentai Footage.

I almost hate Will as much as Jack. And before anyone calls me racist, it has everything to do with personalities. TJ was awesome in Space ( fine in Turbo but the season sucked) and Zack was cool too.

If I was more active back then, I would have pressuree them to do this storyline

Will did seemed too arrogant at times. He also didn't always work well with his teammates.

Re: What if Will really betrayed the team?

Disney didn't like evil Rangers. So the storyline would have been nixed. The episode played the typical good guy pretends to go bad to screw the cillians plot. I smelled it a mile away when the episode aired. Plus there is no way OO Black could have beem a villian in the Sentai Footage.

And it would have been dumb to do since it didn't happen in the Japanese Sentai. Unfortunately they crammed in the Mack robot plot. It was bad enough they didn't adapt Boukenger Red exactly.

It could have lasted for a few episode but I don't see them doing a real betrayal. As annoying as Will was.

I can't see them wanting to make a Ranger a traitor. Didn't Disney not like evil Rangers anyway?

Will wasn't a team player. I am surprised that he really didn't betray the team. But he didn't so I guess he isn't evil.

Re: What if Will really betrayed the team?

I think people confuse Will with their dislike for the way Benta used to carry himself online. Will wasn't a bad character. He was a jerk in the beginning but he learned to be a better team player. And he was actually a very good friend. He stuck up for Dax in that very same episode the op mentions.

I figured it was all all ruse as well. Will wouldn't have turned that quick. And Hartford just firing him off screen was a red flag to me.

Re: What if Will really betrayed the team?

Disney wouldn't allow Rangers to be traitors or evil. They knew it was important to protect the brand. Disney likes to promote heroes.

The OO team just wasn't likeable. Especially Will, not a team player at all. Even in the end when he supposedly learned his lesson.

None of them ever learned their lessons or had any kind of personal growth. That was the problem.
