We know Karone was stolen by Darkconda amd raised to be evil. So you think the rest of the UAE villans were abducted too? It would make sense why they were all purifed by Zordon. This doesn't count the Machine Empire.

Possibly or perhaps Zordon's wave only selected certain beings for purification rather than death.

Zordon was sadly a bit of a racist as only human characters were allowed to live.

which is inaccurate since Zedd wasn't even a human. Rita, Scorpina, Divatox, Mama D and Astronema were the only ones that were humans.

Zedd was human, he was just disfigured.

That would make a lot of sense. Considering what we know about Karone. And we know Zedd tried to brainwash people to evil. So some of them could have even have been brainwashed as adults.

also inaccurate. There's nothing in the show that said he was once human. Zordon's wave just decided to purify him and it had turned him good perhaps it was the love he felt for Rita that had turned him human.

Zedd was turned inside out by the Zeo Crystal shield. Rita mentioned it in Season 3.

Rita was clearly joking at Zedd's expense. It wasn't something that really happened to Zedd. Zedd was annoyed at her sarcasm , more than angry at something from his past.

Zordon purified some of the villains because it was the easiest way to purify them.

I think Rita and Zedd were spared because of the love in their hearts for each other. Divatox must have had some redeeming quantity we never saw. Astronema/Karone already turned good and loved her brother. The rest of the villains just had too much hate in there hearts to be purified. Even Ecliptor had hate in his heart for Andros, since he blamed hin for Astronema's death.
