What is the legacy of Sailor Moon
Now for something a little different. In your opinion, what is Sailor Moon's legacy? Now as much as I would like to hear about personal stories, I'm more interested in how you think Sailor Moon has shaped the comic/anime industry in North America and/or Japan.
Personally, even though Sailormoon techniqually "failed" and really wasn't a big part of Toonami, I fell that it was a very key guiena pig anime that was important to Cartoon Network's anime success. I also think about the volume of manga in bookstores and the way anime is dubbed in North America, and how it's changed over the years. I feel that Sailormoon has had a lot to do with the changes. What do you think? Do you have any specific examples? |
