Did anyone find it wierd how the NS Rangers got their powers back?
 

In the NS finalie the Rangers lost their powers when Lothor sucked them away. But in "Thunder Storm" Lothar just gives them new new disks and the Rangers don't question it. Later Cam gives them other disks to break Lothor's mind control. It just felt wierd since we knew the powers were sucked into the disk. The Thunders and Cam get their powers back by actually going to the Abyss.

So did Lothar just extract the Wind Powers to create the new disks? And Cam's disk just counteract the mind controk effects but keeping he powers in the morphers?

It's possible Lothor wound up just duplicating the powers with his own dark magic.

However in the case of Shane, Dustin and Tori even doubting such a thing only Tori would have had the brains to do so and she knows what Cam is capable of - a lot of tech wizardry so why would she even doubt his technological wizardry?

In the case of Cam and his Discs I believe those Discs were the real ones that he used and his Amulet restored the powers but only on a temporary basis likely because of Lothor's corruption of the Amulet.

I didn't like how the powers were all of the sudden gone again. It seemed like a lame reason for them not to come back. Especially when the Rangers didn't know Lothor was trapped by Mesagog.

I would have like to have seen the NS Rangers stay for a little while longer. Mesogog could have sent Lothar to destory the Rangers. With tbe NS team sacrificing their powers to seal Lothar in the Abyss.

I agree with you there Codfish.

me too Disney Ranger but really they weren't going to pay 11 actors to be Rangers for any longer than 2 episodes... not to mention the extra footage they would need to shoot for such a thing and despite how new Dino Thunder was it still featured a lot of Abaranger footage.

Yeah that wasn't going to happen. It never has with any team up.

See this is why I tend not to like PR after MMPR. In MMPR all the power changes were big and it was usually hard for the Rangers to get new powers. The Rangers just getting their powers back in the DinoThunder team up never would have happened in MMPR. Far too easy and glossed over.

DinoThunder was a disapointment to me. I thought they were finally gonna go back to MMPR level but it just felt flat. Still better than the attempt in NS. But the characters were too dul and lame. Tommy didn't feel like the Tommy I remembered. It was silly for him to be a Palentolgist. Mesogog had no personality.

Going back to NS, I did like how Lothor was funny. Just wasn't enough for me.

Lothor diffinitly put the Wind Powers back in the power disks. After messing with them of course. I agree with Cam's disks just reversing the programming but keeping the powers Lothor himself put back in. I'm surprised Lothor didn't try the same with Cam and the Thunders.

The whole thing was a bit rushed. But it makes sense when you think about it. Besides, Lothor would have founf his own Ranger team valuable. He didn't need the Thunders or Cam since they had no powers as long as he had them. Making them not a threat. Plus he could have captured and turned them later if need be. The Thunders weren't around anyway.
