Jason was a mucn better choice in the end. I wouldn't want to give that up. David Trueheart never did much besides be Tommy's brother.

I thought that was where things were heading after the cliffhanger and I saw the Gold Ranger toys. But I am glad we ultimately ended up with Jason as well. I didn't love Trey. But it was an original idea at the time.

It wouldn't have been a good idea. They wou!d have made him too much like Tommy and we already had one. He was annoying enough.

He was just a guest star. Not a future Ranger. They used him as a red herring like Richie and Curtis.

I never really saw him as a character that was going to be a Ranger. He felt more like a side character . I was surprised he wasn't in more episodes.

I wouldn't mind to have seen it. Just because it would have been something different. And we did get Jason in theTurbo Movie.

Not per see. He was kind or a macguffin in the beginning. As he was the destination of Tommy's arrowhead mystery. Which started on his Zeo Quest. Than when he went on his vision quest in Zeo, he found out he had a long lost brother.

David was really just a guest star for two episodes. His biggest role was in the two part Zeo episode that bookended the summer hatius. Where Tommy meets him and learns about how they each have half an arrowhead that is the key to ancient monsters. Mondo captures David to get the other half of the arrowhead. Tommy has to master the Red Battlezord to save him. After that he had a bit role in an episode with the Rangers surfing. Its teased that he has been very busy lately. As some sort of Gold Ranger Red Herring. But nothing ever comes of it and we never see him again on the show

David was actually played by JDF's real like brother, Erik. Unfortunately Erik Frank ended up passong away from an ilness years later.

I believe it's spelt Erik and not Eric and I believe JDF stated that Erik died sometime in 2001 since he was unable to attend Thuy's funeral due to his brother's funeral.

I'm surprised they made him such a big deal and never did anything with the character again. I thought for sure he was gonna be a Ranger.

Perhaps there were more plans for the character. But I doubt he was ever supposed to be a Ranger.

I don't really think just being Tommy's brother would have been a good enough characterization for a Ranger. The Gold Ranger plot was much better with Jason and Trey.

Agreed, the whole storyline was about Tommy. David wasn't really supposed to become a major character.

Sorry can't accept that. They spend several episodes building to the Tommy Arrowhead Storyline. And then they gave us his brother and resolution to the plot. But the whole thing ended up being a waste as David is barely seen again and the arrowhead is never mentioned.

I am going to say no. David was just a one off guest star who had a small role in another episode. I don't see the character getting very far.
