Default Re: What do you think is Power Rangers' greatest flaw?

Well, I think it would depend on the season when it comes down to it. MMPR had so much cheesey dialouge it exuded nacho dip. Some seasons had poor CGI Zords or monsters, while others handeled it better.

However, I think the two biggest ones may be Sentai footage and public image. Using RPM for example. I believe a few eps of the first part of the season are all Original Footage, due to Eddie not wanting the Zords to talk and not digging the comedy of the GoOnger Sentai, when he was wanting a Terminator-esque style show, though I could be mistaken.

For public image as a whole; Fans have been around since the very first episode. We literally grew up on the show. Some stopped watching at certain parts, some kept on, some came back, etc. Even though we are older, we still love the show, and feel it unncessesary to 'dumb down' a good piece of work for a supposed demographic of little kids.

Kids are smart; they may be developing and learning, but they know whats going on. My two year old nephew can tell me whats happening on an episode of MMPR or DC. We, as the parents/family/teachers, help them learn more and more, and so they shouldn't have to be talked down too when it comes to teaching things like teamwork and the like.

Us older fans feel that PR can be great if given a season that flows and speaks well to all ages; look at Dino Charge. At the moment, its got great action and good acting, and it doesnt talk down to those watching it, unlike MF/SMF.
