Sugar Baby makes a good point, considering on an episode of Digimon that aired the same year, they edited in WaruMonzaemon saying the line "he blew my arm off!", when it was obvious the scene was showcasing his arm being one of many limbs being removed when he exploded and died.

I always found it funny that they expected children to approve of maiming, as opposed to death.
