Why would a magican be a good choice for a Power Ranger? It makes no sense.

Because the last several writing teams solution to their problems...Has been to give the Rangers lame hobbies. Which do nothing to solve the serious creative problems the show has had for a decade plus. And to top it off the hobbies get annoying, like this one.

Thats why I like Lightspeed, the Rangers didn't neeed hobbies since their jobs were very important and practical for their Ranger Powers.

At least they didn't give Carter some lame hobby. Like being good at chess or something. I suppose you could say his hobby was saving the day and overshadowing his friends.

The problem with the last several seasons is that they tend to have characters that feel rather bland. Preston is one of them. Not that I am saying all the characters have been bad.
