Why does sentai footage look 'different?'
This has always puzzled me. I don't know anything about filming or cameras, so I was wondering if anyone here could help me understand. When I'm watching Power Rangers I can immediately tell when they cut to Sentai footage, and I don't know why. Does Japan just use different cameras? The picture quality always seems grainy and bright.

Re: Why does sentai footage look 'different?'
In most cases (before Samurai) it had to do with the process of filming for both companies since they didn't film the same way and they also didn't use the same video camera equipment either. Also Toei didn't give Saban nor Disney very good masters.
