I wasn't going to copy and paste the list over but MLB.com's site webmaster has completely changed the format so I will.

MLB.com's denotations for Injured Players and Injury Replacements is actually incorrect. I know denotations isn't a word (at least I don't think it is) but no matter.

@ is actually what denotes that a Player is unable to participate due to injury whereas * denotes that the Player was chosen as a Replacement for an injured Player.

Red Coloring of a Player's name will denote that they will not be able to pitch in the game due to pitching the Sunday prior to the Tuesday All Star Game.
Green Coloring of a Player's name will denote that the Pitcher has been selected as an All Star in order to replace a Starting Pitcher that is not able to participate due to starting on Sunday, July 14.

As per the All Star Game rules, Starting Pitchers that pitch the Sunday before the All Star Game are not permitted to pitch in the game but Player's Names will not turn into those respective colors until it's 100% certain that the Starting Pitcher in question will indeed pitch that game on the Sunday in question.

Currently Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers, Bartolo Colon of the Oakland Athletcs and Hisahi Iwakuma of the Seattle Mariners will currently be the ones that will be unable to participate in the All Star game for the American League due to starting on Sunday.

Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals and Travis Wood of the Chicago Cubs will currently be unable to participate in the All Star game for the National League due to currently being scheduled to start on Sunday.

#ASG roster update: @Royals closer Greg Holland replaces @Mariners RHP Hisashi Iwakuma, who started today’s game, on AL All-Star team.

#ASG roster updates: @Braves C Brian McCann added to NL All-Star team; @Athletics closer Grant Balfour named to AL squad.

Info comes from All Star twitter account but no info on why McCann and Balfour were added.

Grant Balfour (Oakland) replaced Bartolo Colon due to Colon starting today. This breaks history in the Majors since Balfour is the first Australian-born pitcher to be named to the All Star team.

Brian McCann (Atlanta) replaced Freddie Freeman. Freeman is unable to participate due to injury.

Greg Holland (K.C.) replaces Hisashi Iwakuma. Iwakuma started today.

Sergio Romo (Giants) has been added in order to replace Jordan Zimmermann. Zimmermann is taking some rest due to an injury.

Chris Tillman (Orioles) has been added to replace Verlander since Verlander started today.

Mark Melancon (Pirates) has been added to the team. He'll be replacing his teammate, Jeff Locke since Locke is unable to participate due to innjury.

Bruce Bochy has named Matt Harvey as the Starter of the All Star game for the N.L.

Max Scherzer has bee named the A.L. Starter.
