The Green Ranger Powers were lost for good in season 2. And in DT, it was said that they were gone forever. So how did he get his powers back before Legendary Battle?

Yes and no Tommy claimed the WHITE Ranger powers were destroyed he never said anything about the fates of the other powers and there are numerous explanations as to how he got his powers back.

Rita broke the spell on his Coin
Rita gave his Coin energy
Ninjor made him a new coin or infused his old one with energy
Sentinel Knight infused his old Coin with energy

It made no sense for him to have the Green Rangers Powers again. He should have been Zeo Red or Dino Black.

the Black Ranger powers were drained so having the Green powers makes no sense but having his Black Ranger powers does? that makes zero sense

I just wish his role was longer and more important. But thats true for all the returnees. The whole episode was such a waste of a team up. It could have been done so much better.
