Favorite Neo Saban Writer
I figured we could do with a positive thread on the Neo-Saban era at this moment and get a general idea of which writer on these seasons hit the right spots for you even if the weird editing or dodgy acting didn't.
I think after watching "Perfect Storm", Jim Peronto is a firm favourite of mine. That story was a great exploration of the Ranger's world as they searched for Tensou and it remembered to involve the spectre of Vrak and maintaining a high level of continuity without neccersarily having him show up, marred only by a short regular Megaforce suit fight sequence and Dairanger showing up. James Bates should have written more episodes, though being the head writer he may have contributed some small touches to scripts we're not aware of, that said, "Super Samurai" and "Super Megaforce" were sound second half openers to their respective series (I still get a laugh out of "simple explanation", the show should have played stuff like this up for laughs more), and I think "Roboknight Before Christmas" was a perfect end note for the clip show specials with a good story with a welcome change of scenery and a nice spirited message about celebrating the values of friendship and life. Jill Donnelyn for "Strange Case of the Munchies", "The Great Duel", and "Earth Fights Back" |

I have to go with James W. Bates and Jill Donnellan.
