Ryan stated that he didn't like splitting the team up. When that happened all the time.

Doesn't mean he had to like it!
And in his defense, it often got him beaten up pretty badly. |

I always thought they should have just made their own monsters, and had the Troopers fight them VR Troopers was always better when it did it's own thing.
