So does Gosei change Tommy?
It has long been speculated that Tommy ended up becoming the new Zordon of Power Rangers. With him secretly monitoring all Ranger teams. But Megaforce has Gosei as Zordon's protege. So does this kill the idea alot of us had about Tommy taking Zordon's place?

Well both Gosei and Tommy could co-exist. Especially since Gosei only is active during emergencies and Tommy is mortal. So there is a need for both when you think about it.

Re: So does Gosei change Tommy?
Its out the window now. All that Hexagon stuff is unlikely. Tommy just led in "Forever Red" and DinoThunder. Remember he said he was retiring after DT. And he didn't get involved again until "Legendary Battle"' . Gosei is the new Zordon as specifically stated on the show. I am glad it turned out this way. Tommy being the new Zordon would have been another overboard title for Tommy.

Gosei was never ever stated to be the new Zordon. Yes he didn't get involve again until the Legendary Battle but it's a lot like his time between Turbo and Ninja Storm nothing happened that required his involvement except for Forever Red. Both are still Zordon figures no matter what. Tommy is a representation of Zordon in a human sense and Gosei is a representation of Zordon in the immortal sense since Tommy isn't immortal. |

You would think he was immortal given the way they treat him sometimes.

Re: So does Gosei change Tommy?
Tommy only annoyed me during season 2 when he became White Ranger and the show became about him for awhile. Plus he made Goldar look like too much of a fool to take seriously. But other than season 2, Tommy is one of the best.
I agree with Matt Emily, Gosei and Tommy can both fill some of the roles Zordon filled. Those are big shoes to feel anyway. |

It's possible he could be since remember Zordon had infused him with some of his own life energy in order to try to sustain the Green Ranger's powers that could have possibly been a side effect of the infusion.

Excellent point. I could see Tommy's life span being lengthend because of that.
Tommy wasn't as overpowered as White as some would have you believe. He already schooled Goldar in "Green No More " anyway. Plus fans deserved to be rewarded after the Green Ranger losing his powers drama. |

Re: So does Gosei change Tommy?
I would have Gosei be some kind of program that Tommy merged with. Resulting in Gosei having Tommy's memories and personality. This way someone could protect the Earth when Tommy wasn't around.

Re: So does Gosei change Tommy?
Gosei is diffinitly Tommy. We will never know for sure but I just have a strong feeling that it was the case. Gosei was just a disguise or Tommy using the Tiki to communicate with his team. Tommy probably felt he needed to hide from the Warstars and Armada for some reason. Until the final battle of course.
