Bulk and Skull
Bulk and Skull were very interesting characters. In hindsight they got the most character development out of any of the orginal cast. They stuck around for several years. They went from punks, junior policeman, detective, monkeys, unemployed guys for hire, to true heroes in C2D.
There comedy really added a lot to the fun of MMPR. They played good foils to the Ranger's in season 1. There status as foils kind of was toned down in season 2, when they spent more time trying to find the idenities of the Power Rangers. But I suppose they were still a annoyance to the Rangers, just in a different way. By season 3 they were just well meaning bunglars. Bulk and Skull were the lovable idiots. Who at times were actually quite notable. Who could forget " When Is A Ranger Not a Ranger". Where Bulk and Skull actually stood up for the memoryless Rangers. Only to forget about the whole thing. One of the true times that the Rangers actually felt sorry for them. Who could forget their bumbling antics in "King For A Day". Where Bulk and Skull became heroes to an alien world. And ultimately they were the ones that got the civilians to help the Space Rangers in the final battle. Finding out just who the Rangers finally were was a cool call back to their exploits in season 2. Even if they weren't the same Rangers. Afterall how would Bulk and Skull know? Bulk and Skull didn't do much in Lost Galaxy, Skull making only a cameo in the first episode and Bulk becoming the new Ernie ( with not nearly as much screen time). Forever Red did reunite them for a brief cameo. But despite their lack of important after Space, they still remain among the PRU's stronger characters. |

Nicely written! B&S certainly stayed in the franchise for quite a while, which was great. I really enjoyed their cameo in 'forever red'.

They were some part of why I liked MMPR so much... Their own mess ups. But I wonder how Bulk got back to earth?
