Age and its effect on the Power Rangers Fandom
I find it interesting how the fandom has grown with the show. A lot of veteren fandom members we're in their early teens when they first joined the online fandom in 96. Others joined later. But as time has gone on the Ranger Fandom has gotten older. A lot of the fans that have stuck around and are now in their 20s/30s.
I think the older fandom helped us to get Morphicon. Just because we finally had a group of older fans that could pull something like that off. But it also has worked against us. As many of the great webmasters of the past we're forced to move on or scale back their fandom activities. So we lost a lot of great websites. But the older the fandom gets the more things like Morphicon are possible. And the more Power Rangers becomes etched in the public consenus. Perhaps one day a big budget Power Rangers movie will be possible. It will be interesting to see how the age of the regular and online fandom effect each other in the future. |

Re: Age and its effect on the Power Rangers Fandom
I still watch Power rangers, even if I'm now 50 years old. I hope to see a third Power Rangers movie appear on the movie screen.
