End of the Power Rangers
Wow...... For the most part, this finale f***ing RULED!!! However,
some things sucked a little. Here's what I disliked. 1. Too bad we couldn't see a little Isis action. Or the Pegasus, for that matter. 2. They should have made some reference to how Master Org's form is a combo of Retinax, Nayzor, Mandilock, Jindrax, and Toxica. That's how it was in GaoRanger, and it was obvious enough just looking at him. Oh, by the way, am I the only one who thought the whole deal with parts of your head as Org Generals was ri-goddamn-diculous? I guess they made it work sort of, but generally I'm not gonna be scared by a big green nose with ears comin' out of it. 3. Speaking of them, what the hell were Jindrax and Toxica doing during this whole ordeal? If they really wanted peace, they should've been getting off their asses and helping the Rangers fight Master Org. It just would've been appropriate, and just plain right. 4. The ending was mostly good, showing their futures and all, but one thing was really missing: Danny and Kendall. Something HAD to have happened between them, and I was really looking forward to seeing what the future had for them together. Hopefully they'll be smart and pull together something for the WildForce/Ninja Storm teamup next year. 5. Hey, anybody notice that in this series more than any other, nobody seems to know how to die? The 3 generals, Toxica, Animus, the WildZords, Zen Aku, Master Org... Jesus Christ, the only ones to stay dead were Cole's parents! Well, now that I've bitched enough, time to share the good parts. 1. The extra WildZords bein' shown (Rat, Stingray, Zebra, Peacock), and the Ultra Roar from all the Zords surrounding him. 2. The Rangers' spirit, not willing to give up. (btw, anybody catch Merrick's last name when he said it? I couldn't understand it.) 3. The battle against Master Org. Nothin' particular, just the battle in general. 4. The Animarium falling right into its old place in Turtle Lake. Though from the commercials, I was expecting a harsh, crash landing. 5. On an unrelated note, Am I the only one who thinks that "Wild West Rangers" was FAR from an appropriate episode to play for the MegaBattle Marathon? It should've been the episode with the Orb Of Doom, technically. Though, if it were going to be any random episode/battle, it would've been awesome to have "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor". That was, in my opinion, the best Mighty Morphin' battle ever, and the atmosphere of defeat and revival would've fit perfectly with the mood of the rest of the series finales! 6. It's good to know Max and Danny are stayin' true to each other. 7. Seeing Taylor flying alongside the EagleZord was pretty slick. I have a feeling she'll be the key to reuniting the team for the WildForce/Ninja Storm team-up. 8. Cole... my hero...... heh heh, ok, it was pretty cool seein' him in his true jungle roots, swingin' from the vines to help that kid. I'll admit, I actually shed a tear. Well, I know there was more, but it's all a jumble now. Overall, it was awesome, and kinda moved me at times. Seriously, my eyes got moist at times. It was good, and I'll miss the WildForce team. I do agree about your points about Master Org's final form having parts of the Generals and the main Dukes and that they should've mentioned it but maybe they thought there wasn't a good way to since the Dukes had already left. The Org Generals having those parts might be weird but I thought it gave them an extra line of character. Quote:
yes I agree with you about Danny and Kendall but perhaps they wanted to give them "a not obvious ending" like every Disney or fairy tale writer would. People don't always get a happy ending. Quote:

Re: End of the Power Rangers
In a lot of ways it truly was the end of Power Rangers. Since it was the end of the last real good season. Only the first half of RPM ever got back to the level of the first Saban Era.

I loved the finale, it was a masterpiece that only Amit could create. I loved that he had the guts to actually kill off Master Org and not have him healed by a care bear stare. He had plenty of chances to back out and has no sympathy for me since he murdered Cole's parents in cold blood and would have done the same to Cole if he could.

Isn't it a little much to bump a thread from 2002?

Dino Thunder was one of the better seasons on par with one of Saban's seasons granted I hated the Abaranger ep but other than that most other things were fine. I did hate the "Inspector Gadget" Battlizer and I hated how we had an extra Ranger as a power-up. SPD I wasn't a big fan of. I didn't like the villains except for Broodwing, the monsters and the mooks. Jack's Battlizer was fine but the Sonic Mode was a more proper fit due to all of the extra armor that came from R.I.C. I hated the idea of the Ball of Light and how they introduced us to his friend Nova. Mystic Force was a pretty good season my only complaints was no focus on Maddie and too much focus on Nick but other than that I really don't have a problem with it except I wasn't a huge fan of Morticon or Imperious. Overdrive and Jungle Fury not the greatest. RPM one of the best. Samurai and Megaforce were both bad. Dino Charge wasn't bad in fact it would've been one of the best if the finale wasn't horrible and IF we had gotten more focus on the Aqua Ranger. Quote:

not me that wouldn't make any sense and Tommy being evil would be so 1994. who cares? We have no rules on bumping ancient threads if someone sees a thread from hey let's say 1982 or even before Jesus was born then go ahead and bump it up if you have something to say to it. |

Re: End of the Power Rangers
This thread was in the Ezboard forum, so its either from the threads imported from the Ezboard or old Yahoo Group. I am thinking the yahoo group. But its a good topic to expand on.
I don't mind bumping old threads if the reply adds to the thread or its a topic worth revisiting. It also allows are newer members to comment on threads from before there time here. |
