yea they didn't want to go that dark since they probably saw that as dark magic and Rita wasn't really known for her magic in the first season.

The episode would have been banned from US tv and would have been way too dark. I don't want to see the show do anything like it now either.

When you think about it,Jason never got too many over the top lines. And was usually treated like a serious character. He was very stoic as well.

I can't think that Austin actually hated the line that much. He had to be having fun with the question, if he wasn't joking.
