The Astro Megazord shuttle cockpit

In "Save Our Ship", where was the shuttle cockpit (the one the rangers entered before Nasada blew up) supposed to be located? I'm assuming it's somewhere in the back cuz it didn't look like the front since that's where the rangers piloted the megazord. Also, anyone else notice in US footage the cockpit had 6 seats(one for Justin) but the Megaranger footage only had 5?

How come the cockpit for megazord piloting and the cockpit for just flying around in the shuttle are totally different then?

No they weren't. If you watch "From Out of Nowhere - Part 2", the room changes.
